To date, Brad Booth has won nearly $1 million playing poker. It has not always been this great for him on the professional front. His former job was as a pizza delivery man. Though not the most fulfilling work, delivering pizzas would help him finance his foray into professional poker. The money he made from this job would provide him with the money needed to enter Limit Hold’em games at local poker rooms. His practice on the felts would soon catapult him into the professional ranks. Today, he plays at the popular poker web site, Full Till Poker. He is also well note for his impressive running in the 2006. He would finish third in the $10,000 No Limit Hold’em Championship hosted at Mandalay Bay Casino.
Brad Booth learned the game by playing. He didn’t read any books. He just practiced. His studying was done on the felt. That real world experience has paid off in a major way as he is a very competitive player and is getting closer to the $1 million mark in earnings.
He entered his first major tournament in 2005. It was a $5000 Shorthanded No Limit Hold’em Event. This was a World Series Of Poker (WSOP) event, which are widely known for being extremely prestigious and competitive. Booth would go on to win $17,000 and finish in 12th place. He would follow that great finish with a second place finish at the Bellagio Festa Al Lago No Limit Hold’em Tournament. A few months later, he would win $50,000 in the Five Diamond World Classic.
As one can see, 2005 was a great kick off year to Brad Booth’s professional poker career. The following year, 2006 would also turn out to be a great year for Booth at the tables as well. He was a tough competitor, playing well at numerous World Poker Tour (WPT) tournaments. He would place third in the $10,000 No Limit Hold’em Mandalay Bay Poker championship and would win more than $300,000. This is quite impressive for someone who didn’t enter their first major tournament until one year prior, in 2005. In 2007, he would continue his good play and would finish in 5th place in the National Heads Up Championship tournament that was shown on NBC.
Brad Booth is an up and coming poker star. While he has had a good deal of success, he has not yet reached the status of some of the games best stars. However, considering that he only entered his first major tournament in 2005, it would be hard to argue that he isn’t moving in the right direction. Hopefully, he will stay focused and continue his ascent into the upper echelon of professional poker players.
