One of the coolest things about internet poker is watching the high stakes poker action. When you go to a live casino it is rare that there even is any high stakes games going and if there is (for an example at the Bobby’s Room in Las Vegas at the Bellagio Casino) the room is guarded and outside spectators have no way of really following the action

On the other hand the online poker world is a totally different beast. On the internet all you have to do to watch real high stakes poker action is to download a poker room’s software that has those games and open a table where the action is going on at the moment. At the moment the best place for following the big boys in action is without doubt Full Tilt Poker. It is currently the world’s second biggest online poker room, but unlike at pokerstars, there is actually lot of well known poker pros playing under their real name at the biggest tables. This is because Full Tilt Poker has the world’s largest poker pro team and part of these pro’s contract is to participate in the poker action at their online poker site.

Because of this even the amateurs and players who otherwise wouldn’t have much of a chance at playing against the big name players such as Phil Ivey and Gus Hansen can now play against them from the comfort of their own home (don’t have to worry about giving off too many tells when you are scared of playing against them..).

The latest player to challenge some of the best known Full Tilt Poker pro’s is ClockWyze who according to his location listing comes from Malta which is a small country of around 500,000 people in Europe. Today ClockWyze felt like it was a time to take a shot against the big boys and challenged 3 FTP red pros at the same time in $1,500/$3,000 7 game poker game. The pros ClockWyze played against were American Brian Hastings, Finnish Patrik Antonius and Danish Gus Hansen (though the last two both live in Monaco at the moment). And based on what we saw ClockWyze was able to compete equally against his (at the moment) better known opponent at least in this session.

Oh and one final note to those considering challenging the red pros in the highstakes poker tables: ClockWyze himself is not stranger to the high stakes poker play, in fact during his career at Full Tilt Poker he already won over $1million and proved his skills many times. So even though he is not a familiar sight in this particular game against these particular players he is certainly a very skilled poker player.
