The idea behind double chance betting is extremely simple. In normal 1×2 betting you are only choosing one option on how the game should win (1= home win, X= tie or 2= away win), but in double chance betting you are choosing two possible results on how the game should end in your opinion. So the bets available in double chance betting are 1x (home win or tie), x2 (tie or away win) and 12 (home or away win). Naturally due to this the odds you are getting in double chance betting compared to the regular 1×2 betting are lower, but on the other hand your chances of winning can go up significantly. Double chance betting format is best suited for football and other sports in which the chance of tie is at least decent.
Strategy for double chance betting:
The strategy for this betting format is very similar to one that you should use for 1×2 betting. One thing we would like to point out though is that sometimes you can get better odds by making correct size bets on the regular 1×2 options than placing bet directly on the double chance wit the odds offered by the bookie. I.e sometimes the odds offered for x2 double chance could be 2.0 but if you place the correct size bets on the 1×2 betting for x2 you could be looking at odds of over 2.05. This might not seem like all that much, but over the time these small edges really add up (hopefully on your bank account too!).
