I realize that usually the first blog entry should include some basic information about the blogger and in this also about my gambling history etc. And I know that you guys are waiting for it eagerly, so I promise to write the introduction within a wee. However, just like a true gambler I’m now too busy to do it simply because I’m soon going to be rooting for my bet.

As most of you prolly know it is now the semifinals in Olympic ice-hockey and in tonight’s games USA is playing against Finland and Canada is playing against Slovakia. In my opinion Canada is almost a lock against Slovakia however because it is getting such a bad odds I wont bother betting it (unless this first bet goes wrong and I go on tilt).

In the USA vs. Finland game USA is in my opinion getting way too good odds, and especially their handicap odds seem extremely attractive (or maybe it is just me craving for some good betting action) so with that said I ended up putting 1,000€ on USA with -1.5 handicap. If you are unfamiliar with the handicap bets it means that USA will have to win with at least 2 goals for me to win the bet. I got odds of 3.00 (that is decimal odds you yanks and UK gamblers) for the bet meaning that if they indeed manage to win with at least 2 goals I’m going to make 2,000€ in pure profit. Which I certainly hope is going to happen because I’m already down some today thanks to idiotic bet I made earlier.
