Planet Hollywood – the house that fame built.  Located in Clark Country, Nevada, Planet Hollywood used to be called The Aladdin.  However, it used to be dead with its lackluster and droll Arabian Theme.  It’s a wonderful thing, then, that the establishment changed hands and was renovated in order to become Planet Hollywood, one of the biggest and best hotels and casinos in Las Vegas.  Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino is owned by OzBiz, a partnership of Bay Harbour Management, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, and Robert Earl. 

Rooms

Planet Hollywood has, as its name implies, a Hollywood theme.  It has 52 floors in all, and the last two, at the very top, are all dedicated to VIPs.  Each room on the top 2 floors has a design based on a certain movie.  The rooms even have props and items taken from the actual film and the wall pictures are all about the particular movie the room is dedicated to. 

However, the rooms of Planet Hollywood have a certain ranking.  The most basic one is called Hollywood Hip, which is a standard room with a king or queen sized bed, a beautiful bathroom with a large and deep tub as well as a shower, a 42” plasma TV and some furniture.  For an extra fee, you can get a fountain view room where you get to see the waterworks of Bellagio.  Next to the Hollywood Hip Room is the Resort Room.  It’s bigger but has the same features aside from an extra window and some extra chairs.  The next type of room is the Resort Vista which has a wonderful view as well as a desk, a sala set, and a coffee table.  Planet Hollywood’s pride and joy, however, is its Panorama Suite.  It’s a beautiful room that has a 180-degree view of the whole strip.  It’s the most luxurious room in the building, with a bar, a dining area, an office, and a very large bedroom, not to mention a 52” flat screen TV.

Whichever of these you choose, however, they’re all well-maintained and clean.  Planet Hollywood has a stellar reputation for customer service and has a well-trained staff.

Casino

As for Planet Hollywood’s Casino, it’s 3 acres big and has all the games and the amenities you’ll look for.  There are various slots machines with themes that mostly center around movies.  There are table games and card games of every kind, most notable of which is the Playing Field Race and Sports Book.  There’s also a separate section for VIPs.  For the gamblers who want to have a bit of entertainment as they play, they can go the The Pleasure Pit, where there are go-go dancers.  If you want, you could join the casino’s A-list in order to avail of some special deals.
