| PROKKER39 does well against BMW320iA at iPoker |
|
BMW320iA is one of the those poker players who seems to have been around forever. In fact he has been playing the biggest high stakes cash games at the iPoker online poker network for at least couple years. And when someone stays around that long while playing against the toughest cash game no limit texas holdem headsup players there it is safe to assume that he himself is a really tough player. Despite of that a new player (or someone with a new poker nick as the iPoker network allows their players to have a new nick name at every site of the network they open account at) known as Prokker39 decided to today challenge BMW320iA into a real headsup battle. The battle took place over 3 headsup tables of $50/$100 NL Texas Holdem. The maximum buyin amount to those games is $10,000 (100 big blinds). So when someone manages to build their stack up to massive $40,000 you can conclude that they are either really good or really lucky poker player (or most likely some combination of both), still this is exactly what Prokker39 managed to do in one of the tables. Through series of aggressive plays he managed to take a nice amount of cash from BMW320iA in the table, unfortunately for Prokker39 though the things didn’t go quite as well in the other two tables. And at the time when we finishing monitoring the session BMW321iA was winning on both of those two tables, but overall Prokker39 appeared to be over $20,000. One interesting thing to note about both of these players is that they both seem to love using the minimum open raise preflop. Meaning that they open raise to only $200 from the small blind when they first to act, especially on the lower stakes lot of players like to raise to at least 4 times the big blind coming in. It is most likely safe to assume that there is lot of merit in just opening for the minimum amount. At the moment there is no information on what are the real names of these two players and unfortunately neither player even has their location listed at the poker room so us, high stakes online poker fans, cant even start to speculate on who these guys are. However if they keep playing as aggressive as they did today it will still certainly be interesting to watch both of them in action also in the future. |
