The object of a Texas Holdem Sit and Go Tournament, like any other tournament table, is to win all of the other players’ chips, thus garnering the first place prize money. In a single table Sit and Go, the second and third place finishers also receive a prize, and two-table Sit and Gos award a prize for fourth place, as well.
An important poker strategy to keep in mind when playing Texas Holdem Sit and Go tournaments is to play your position. Your position relative to the button has a tremendous impact on how strong your hand needs to be. As a general guideline, especially early in the tournament, only play strong hands from advantageous positions. A conservative approach in the beginning will help keep you in your seat longer.
Another point to keep in mind is that the blinds increase as the game progresses.
