One of the reasons why Las Vegas is so attractive to people is that there’s always the chance of striking it big there.  Of course, you could always experience the exact opposite and lose all you own there, but still, Las Vegas will never lose its charm as the proverbial Treasure Island.  And indeed, what better place in Vegas can you experience this charm than in Treasure Island Hotel and Casino.  Owned by Phil Ruffin, Treasure Island, or simply TI, is a Four Diamond Hotel with a Caribbean Theme.

The Theme

Before, it used to have a Pirate theme, but it was renovated in order to cater more to adults than to children, thus the whole luxurious Caribbean theme.  Take the pool as a prime example of the changes made.  Where there was a kid-friendly pool back when the hotel was first constructed, there is now a hot tub.  The most notable of all changes, however, is the sign at the entrance.  Back then, it was the traditional pirate symbol, the Jolly Roger (i.e. a skull and crossbones).  Now, however, Treasure Island simply uses a sign that says “TI”.  Indeed, one can sufficiently say that treasure Island is no longer a hotel that caters most to families.  Instead, this hotel attracts now attracts adults.  Even its attractions were changed in order to suit adults more.  What used to be “Buccaneer Bay” is now “The Sirens of TI”, where the main attractions are singing and dancing bare-chested pirates and beautiful women.

The Rooms

The Treasure Island Hotel and Casino has 2,885 rooms in all, each one of them meticulously maintained.  Indeed, the rooms of TI are all clean and orderly.  Their interior design fits the theme perfectly, and makes for a really cozy place to stay.  It has all the amenities you’ll need in a standard hotel room such as a television set, comfortable beds, clean sheets, air conditioning, a desk, some chairs, a phone, and more.  For a fee, you may also have Wi-Fi access on your room.

If you want to relax, you may just go to the pool or the spa, both of which are excellent.  The food in TI is great too, with reasonable prices and above average taste.

The Casino

TI’s Casino is just as excellent as the rest of its facilities.  It has a wide array of casino games such as blackjack, poker, baccarat, craps, roulette, and more.  There’s also a long row of slots machines of many different themes.  The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, well-trained and helpful and is sure to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

Overall, I’d say that TI is one of the best hotels in Vegas.  It’s the least expensive 4-diamond hotel in Vegas, well worth the money considering the excellence it offers in terms of service.
