There are loads of internet sites that advertise to have a roulette system that guarantees to make you a millionaire. And all you would have to do in order to get the system is to pay $99.99. It is easy to understand why countless people every day fall for these offers, after all who wouldn’t want to get millions for less than hundred bucks. Unfortunately though, the truth is that there isn’t a single honest betting system that would make you a winner in roulette, if you want to find out more keep reading.
Why the roulette betting systems don’t work:
Roulette is a casino advantage game. This means that no matter which bet you make you are always mathematically losing – even if you win the actual bet. The colour bets are great example on what we mean. If you bet $1 on red and it comes you win $2, if it doesn’t come you lose $1. As there is equal number of black and red numbers on the wheel they naturally also come as often. The problem is the one (or in some cases even two) green numbers that there are on the wheel. So if you start with $1 and lose you next bet $2 and if you lose again you now bet $4. If you happen to win on that $4 bet you will still end up being an overall winner ($8(win on third spin)-$4(third spin bet)-$2(second spin bet)-$1(first spin bet)=+$1). Sounds pretty good doesn’t it? The selling point of those who are trying to push this system to you is that no-one can lose forever. Well, unfortunately you can lose so long that you either run out of money or casino no-longer accepts your bets because they are too big for them. But the real problem is again the fact that roulette is a casino advantage game, which means that mathematically you keep lose with every single bet regardless of the actual result of the bet.
So should you play roulette even if you can’t win over the long term:
Absolutely. If you enjoy playing roulette games and you keep your gambling under the control you should absolutely play roulette, despite of the fact that you can’t win in it (except by cheating but that is out of the scope of this article) over the long term. It is also important to note that even though being long term winner is impossible, there is nothing stopping you from going on a sick heater and for an example running $50 investment to $50,000 in one night.
